The vision of the department is,” Imbibing quality education and overall development by endowing students with technical skills and competency in computer engineering”. Inception from the Academic Year 2008-09 with an initial intake of 60 seats in Computer Engineering Graduate Programme (B.E) affiliated to SPPU and from AY 2020-21 the intake is increased to 120 and the department has grown up by leaps and bounds in terms of quantity and quality of the education programme increasing the intake to 180 from AY 2023-24. The strength of the department at NMIET is the State-of-the-Art Infrastructure and highly qualified, immensely diligent, highly experienced faculty members and scholars along with industrial and business experts.
The goal of the achieving vision of the department is to develop competent Computer Engineers imbibed with the quality technical education and spirit of professionalism. Along with various curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular, technical trainings, research, sports, soft skill, socio-cultural activities are practiced by all faculties to enable our students to get ready for Industry savvy and become a competent Computer Engineering Graduates. The department endeavors to provide best professional opportunities to our students and look forward to their bright future.
NMIET have unique strength of industry connect through Central Placement, Industry-Institute-Interaction Cell (IIIC) and MHRD Institutes Innovation Cell (IIC) bridging the gap between the Academia and Industry requirements so that our students have preference in Industrial arena. The proof is by achieving the newer heights of student’s placements. At the desktop of NMIET achievements of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is awarded.
