About Information Technology (IT) Department

The department was established during the inception of the Institute in 2008-2009 as the Department of Information Technology, which has an intake of 60 students which grown into a full-fledged department, imparting quality education to the students. The IT department is fully equipped with 06 laboratories and 04 well-furnished LCD projector lecture halls. The department is also equipped with almost all the original software licenses required for Information technology programs as per the curricula as well as the latest technology to provide our students with hands-on experience. All the labs of the department are equipped with 24 systems each with a ratio of 1:1 for each student. Laboratories are equipped with the Internet; web application facilities accessible on LAN and Wi-Fi are available for students to provide them with hands-on experience with the latest software and technology.

The students in the course will attain:

1. Engineering Knowledge:
An ability to apply knowledge of computing, mathematics including discrete mathematics as well as probability and statistics, science, and engineering, and technology.

An ability to define a problem and provide a systematic solution with the help of conducting experiments, as well as analyzing and interpreting the data.

A graduate of the Information Technology Program will demonstrate:

PSO1: An ability to apply the theoretical concepts and practical knowledge of Information Technology in the analysis, design, development, and management of information processing systems and applications in the interdisciplinary domain to understand the professional, business and business processes, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities.

PSO2: An ability to analyze a problem and identify and define the computing infrastructure and operations requirements appropriate to its solution. IT graduates should be able to work on large-scale computing systems.
