About First Year Engineering Department
The journey of future engineers begins with the Department of First Year Engineering. The primary objective of the department is to build a strong academic and professional foundation for students based on three key aspects:
The first aspect focuses on developing essential academic knowledge through a clear understanding of fundamental subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and the basics of major engineering disciplines including Programming and Problem Solving, Fundamentals of Programming Language, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Engineering Graphics, Engineering Mechanics along with Vocational and Skill Enhancement Courses, Ability Enhancement Courses and Co-curricular Courses.
The second aspect aims to cultivate innovative thinking and creativity among students by exposing them to different engineering concepts and problem-solving techniques during their first year of study.
The third aspect emphasizes personality development by nurturing the right attitude, values and skills required to become responsible professionals and responsible citizens who can contribute positively to society and the nation.
