About Information Technology (IT) Department
The department was established during the inception of the Institute in 2008-2009 as the
Department of Information Technology, which has an intake of 120 students which grown into a
full-fledged department, imparting quality education to the students. The IT department is fully
equipped with 07 laboratories and 02 well-furnished LCD projector lecture halls. The department
is also equipped with almost all the original software licenses required for Information
technology programs as per the curricula as well as the latest technology to provide our students
with hands-on experience. All the labs of the department are equipped with 24 systems each with
a ratio of 1:1 for each student. Laboratories are equipped with the Internet; web application
facilities accessible on LAN and Wi-Fi are available for students to provide them with hands-on
experience with the latest software and technology.

The mission of the Department:
- Imparting technical knowledge and practical skills in Information Technology to prepare students for successful careers in industry, academia and entrepreneurship
- Fostering ethical values, professional responsibility, and effective Communication in students to help them become responsible IT professionals.
- Encouraging innovation, research, and problem-solving abilities through industry-relevant projects, internships and collaborative learning.
- Cultivating awareness of societal needs and sustainability, promoting the development of socially responsible and globally competent graduates.

Engineering knowledge:
Graduates can apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to Civil Engineering related problems. -
Problem analysis:
An ability to identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse Civil engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using principles of mathematics and engineering sciences. -
Design/development of solutions:
An ability to plan, analyse, design, and implement engineering problems and design system components or processes to meet the specified needs. -
Conduct investigations of complex problems:
An ability to use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. -
Modern tool usage:
An ability to apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations. -
The engineer and society:
An ability to apply contextual knowledge to assess societal, legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice. -
Environment and sustainability:
An ability to understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. -
Ethics:
An ability to apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice. -

An ability to function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings to accomplish a common goal. -
